Our school is in Granollers, a city of about 70,000 inhabitants, located 30 km from Barcelona. There are 620 students between the ages of 12 and 18 and about 60 teachers. The origin of the students is heterogeneous since we are in a marginal neighborhood of the city and some of them come from a difficult environment with few resources, many of them immigrants, a group that usually does not enjoy the art and culture offered by the city of Barcelona or the city of Granollers itself, which has a wide range from Jazz, theater, dance concerts ... This type of student cannot access the cultural offer since they cannot afford it financially, and they only leave their school on time neighborhood, where the educational center that does not have any cultural or artistic offer is located. Along the same lines, we have to emphasize that these students do not have the access to extracurricular activities of any kind.
However, due to our commitment to artistic, cultural, civic and social projects, we receive many students from other neighborhoods and more prosperous areas of the city region and province of a more favorable and economically favored socio-cultural environment.

The educational center has an artistic baccalaureate in visual and performing arts and is a reference center that enjoys great prestige in the city and the region. A fame that transcends the local sphere, being countless winners of the Buero Vallejo Young Theater Awards. The arts department is committed to encouraging vision contemporary art education through coeducation between artistic disciplines through self-knowledge, collaboration with the environment, inclusion projects of the most disadvantaged students with a Big Band project with instruments of the center. We need to be able to transmit this method of work to the youngest students not yet headed into the artistic world; that is why we believe that this project will help you reflect on the creative process.
We are also very concerned about the improvement of new educational methodologies in order to optimize the digital skills of students, especially in these times of pandemic in which online teaching has been practically the only option and the digital divide has become evident for both teachers and students. Since Almost 10 years ago, the school has opted for project work (based on PBL) with the youngest students (12-15) and a routine of 4 hours of work per week has been established using this methodology.

However, most of the students of the school were born in Portugal.

Our city is located in one of the most beautiful Italian regions and is only a few miles from the famous archaeological site of Pompeii, the Royal Palace of Caserta and thewonderful city of Naples.
Our students are educated in both cultural and vocational subjects: Computer Science, Electronics, Audiovisual, Fashion Design and Dance.
Most of our students come from a low socio-cultural background, their economic conditions are bad and many of them have different ethnic roots.
Knowing the students and their family contexts is the core of all the action of our school to fight against early school leaving and support the inclusion of all
pupils, including those of different ethnic backgrounds. To support inclusive education and students with special needs, we promote socialization and Shared schooling through the cooperation of teachers with special needs and academic teachers.
